World Day to Combat Desertification

On June 17th QEERI, HSSE, the Quranic Garden and the Ministry of Environment participated at the Combat Desertification Day. The event was organized by the Quranic Garden at the Royal Plaza from 9am to 9pm. There were posters, brochures, live insects, plants and environmental surveys, all to raise awareness on desertification issues and how to combat them.

QEERI organized a workshop to discuss outreach efforts in Qatar. Representatives of 30 organizations met at QEERI’s Outreach Workshop to share the status of outreach efforts in Qatar and discuss the creation of a new Qatar Outreach Network.

Solar Energy MOU

QEERI has signed a MOU with CIEMAT. QEERI and CIEMAT, a Spanish solar energy research institute, will be working on a joint project to develop solar energy technology specifically for Qatar’s environment.

Air Quality MOU
