Executive Director’s Welcome

The Qatar Environment and Energy Research Institute (QEERI) is built on a new vision and concept; it is responding to issues that affect Qatar as a rapidly-developing economy by assembling diverse teams of researchers to address the challenges associated with the energy and environment of natural and built systems. These issues are being addressed from their source to their societal impact, whilst protecting and enhancing the natural environment for future generations, as clearly defined by Qatar’s 2030 National Vision. An essential component of the QEERI operation is coordination with various entities and ongoing research: energy and environment research in universities, the government, and other private and public entities, and cooperation with Qatar Foundation research institutes and programs.
